Non-Abutment Pre-tensioning Prestressing (NAPP) Unit
The NAPP unit consists of 'hollow PC-steel,' a 'resistant PC-bar,' a holder, and the other components illustrated below. The unit applies the tensile force generated and maintained by a jack to the hollow PC-steel. The unit transmits the prestressed force to concrete members once it is fitted inside the concrete structures and the tensile force is released.
Standard type NAPP unit
Inner thread type NAPP unit

Features
- The unit introduces prestress by means of pre-tensioning.
- On-site work is reduced in terms of omitting sheathing arrangements, prestress tension control, and grouting.
- The units are transported and placed just like rebar.
- Prestress can be introduced to even short and small concrete members without loss of prestressing force.
