Our basic policy of Sustainability

Based on our management philosophy, 'We aim to be a group that is always needed from society by making the best use of our people and technologies,' we pursue our contributions to sustainable society and enhance our corporate value through all our business activities to improve and maintain social infrastructure and resolve issues of local communities and the global environment.
- We will make technical proposals that consider the global environment by promoting de-carbonization, renewable energy use, reduction of waste, recycling, and making extra efforts to develop environmental conservation and prevention of pollution.
- We will strive to create a workplace where individual human rights and various employees' values are respected, and where the capabilities of employees are made the most of and they are satisfied to work together to achieve safe, secure, and comfortable workplaces.
- We will work with our associated companies in human resources development and risk management by maintaining fair and trusted cooperative relationships with our associated companies.
- We will maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations and manage risks thoroughly in all our business activities.

Organization of sustainability promotion
A Sustainability Committee shall be established as an organization that develops basic sustainability policies and strategies, monitors and guides the progress of sustainability promotion measures in relation to materiality, deliberate on measures to enhance dialogue with stakeholders, and report its findings to the Board of Directors.
The Sustainability Committee is chaired by the President and CEO and comprises internal and external directors (excluding members of the Audit Committee), executive officers in charge, and heads of departments in charge, as appointed by the chairperson. The Committee meets twice annually to discuss monitoring, evaluation, and policy for actual business activities, such as promotion, implementation, and improvement of materiality, and submits its recommendations to the Board of Directors.
